Thomas W. Mott
Tom is a founding partner of LUEKER MOTT ZEZULA and focuses his practice on personal injury, workers' compensation, and civil and commercial litigation.
Tom litigates life-altering injury cases including car accidents, motorcycle accidents, plane crashes, tractor-trailer crashes, boating and jet-ski accidents, skiing, snowboarding, and snow-tubing accidents, biking accidents, wrongful death, defective products, nursing home neglect, medical malpractice, construction site disasters, sex abuse and sexual assault cases, abuse or neglect at schools or camps, dog bites, and work injuries. He regularly appears before the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission on behalf of claimants who were injured at work.
While Tom's focus is on prosecuting injury cases, he has also defended both personal injury lawsuits and workers' compensation claims. This two-sided litigation experience serves his injury clients well since Tom can analyze a case from all angles.
Aside from his injury law practice, Tom litigates property disputes, breach of contract actions, construction disputes, business disputes, mortgage foreclosure actions, eviction actions, land use appeals, unfair trade practice claims, creditor rights in bankruptcy court, and other complex litigation matters.
Tom also handles residential real estate closings. He is an agent for a well-respected Connecticut title insurance company and can secure title insurance for clients and their lenders.
An innovative thinker both in the courtroom and in the office, Tom utilizes technology to make his representation more efficient and effective. He has mastered the art of negotiation, knowing when to take a friendly vs. assertive approach. Tom has tried cases in various forums throughout Connecticut.
Outside of the practice of law, Tom is a Rotary member and serves on the Board of Harrybrooke Park in New Milford, Connecticut. Tom enjoys real estate investing and golf, and his weekends are usually spent with his wife and their 3 young kids.
